On Thursday Conor and Andy headed to The Ben. On finding teams ahead of them on Green Gully they turned their attention to Comb Gully. It was both guys first time leading grade IV and it was a nice introduction. It all went off without a hitch (although Conor did drop Andy's camera down the route. He quickly down climbed and retrieved it before they moved on "Andy...I'm really sorry"). Word from the guys is that The Ben is in great shape with lots of ice around although a lot of the buttresses were looking a bit black.
